Science experiment:
Why doesn't the ocean freeze?
Today the kids tested out the theory that ocean water doesn't freeze in main part because it is so salty. They filled 2 cups with tap water and then added sea salt to one of the cups, stirring until it dissolved. They then labeled the cups and placed them in the freezer. When they came back to check on the cups later in the day they found that the regular water had indeed frozen while the salt water had not!
