Cooperative game:
Today we played a game where each kid took a turn choosing the name of a fruit or vegetable out of a hat. They were to read read the word (I read Roxy's to her) and then race to the living room to find a card on the table with a picture of that food and race back with it. If they got it right, they got to choose another one, but if they were wrong they had to race back and try again!

Science experiment:

The theme this week is food. All of our experiments, although inedible, will incorporate food in some way.

Invisible Ink
The kids used Q-tips to paint with a mixture of water and baking soda which we then let dry. Their secret drawings were revealed when they then painted over them with grape juice! We then discussed the how the reaction between the baking soda and the acid in the juice is what makes the different colour appear.
