At the beginning of the week a collection of books related to the weekly theme will be gathered and put into a big basket. We will also visit the library every Monday and the kids will be encouraged (but not forced) to include some theme related books in the selections they wish to borrow.
Story time will be incorporated into every day and the books read will be chosen from this basket of theme books. I will read any books the kids choose and will gladly listen to any book that Gabe wants to read to me as well! The book basket will be available all day long and whenever there is a transition between activities, the kids will be encouraged to make their way to the basket to read/look at books while they wait.
