The kids made these peacocks but we altered the craft to use feathers and sparkles instead of jewels.

Science experiment:
Theme this week is Air
Fan and Roll experiment from Science Play by Hauser
The kids made paper fans and a small paper roll (TP roll size)and were asked to predict what would happen to the roll if they fanned their fans at the roll and explain why. We also explored the different effect that fanning quickly versus slowly would have. They then tested their predictions and we discussed their findings.

Physical activity:
Sports Skill and Gymnastics class at Le Petit Gym.

Outing/social time:
Sports Skills and Gymnastics class at Le Petit Gym.

Worksheets:
Tracing letter A, maze, dot to dot, matching uppercase to lower case A-E.

Hands on math:
None.

Computers:
Played animals game on iPad - Abby Words for spelling animal names and matching animal words and pictures.

Music:
Danced, sang and played instruments to our animal theme compilation CD moving scarves to the music.

French:
French is emphasized throughout the entire day; especially theme related words. Today we practiced answering "Oui, s'il vous plait" and "Non, merci" to various questions and will continue to do so all week.
