The kids made an animals collage using animals cutouts from circulars and stickers.

Science experiment:
Theme this week is Air
Investigate Air experiment from Science Play by Hauser
The kids were presented with 5 objects (pompom, small piece of paper, toy car, plastic block, empty yogurt cup) and were asked to predict which item they could move the farthest across the floor with just one blow through a straw and explain why. They then tested their predictions and we discussed their findings.

Physical activity:
Running, climbing, sliding and playing with balls in the YMCA gym with me.

Outing/social time:
1 hour at YMCA child care.

Worksheets:
Coloring A word pictures, tracing letter A, tracing A words, tracing straight lines right to left, counting & finding numeral, finding different, matching word to picture.

Hands on math:
None.

Computers:
None.

Music:
Danced, sang and played instruments to our animal theme compilation CD.

French:
French is emphasized throughout the entire day; especially theme related words. Today we practiced answering "Oui, s'il vous plait" and "Non, merci" to various questions and will continue to do so all week.
