Science experiment:
Theme this week is the 5 Senses
Sound Garden experiment from Sid the Science Kid
We gathered items made from 3 different materials: metal, wood and plastic. The kids then made "music" within each of the groups by banging on the items. We then discussed and tried to label the sounds that each of the materials made and practiced making soft and loud sounds. Afterward I sent them to a different room and had them try to guess what material I was banging on/with. They enjoyed that a lot so I expanded it to playing actual instruments (tambourine, keyboard, egg shaker, drum, etc) and had them try to guess those as well.
Physical activity:
Played in the snow at the park.
Outing/social time:
Made friends with another little boy that was at the park as well.
Worksheets:
Coloring B word pictures, tracing letter B, tracing B words, tracing diagonal lines up left to right, completing patterns, counting & finding numeral, finding different, matching word to picture, maze, cutting straight lines.

French:
French is emphasized throughout the entire day; especially theme related words. Today we practiced answering "Je ne comprends pas" when they don't understand something said to them in French and "Je ne sais pas" when they understand but don't know the answer. We will continue to practice these sentences all week.
